BIM Coordinator - Engineering Design

    The BIM Design Coordinator is responsible to streamline the engineering design. The goal is to improve the design standards and design processes and workflows.

    He/she will work closely with the senior project managers and team leaders and setup and develop standards for BIM models and drawings such as but not limited to:
    - CAD/BIM Layer structures
    - File and Attribute structures
    - Project Templates, Standard Details
    - Line, Hatch, Dimensioning, Labelling, Fillings, etc.
    - Project and Office Libraries
    - Workflows and Process Sheets
    - Project preparation templates, times schedule templates
    - Etc.


    Furthermore, the BIM Design Coordinator will work closely with the R&D Team as well as QA Team. He/She shall identify the needs and problems in the design process and provide and implement solutions to solve these matters. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Solve problems and answer questions regarding the use of CAD software and company standards;
    • Facilitate with the start-up and implementation of BIM process on a project level in accordance to the project specific requirements with the assistance, guidance and oversight of the Project Manager and Director
    • Create, improve and maintain gbc company BIM/ CAD standards including but not limited to BIM Families and BIM Libraries, formwork drawing templates, rebar drawing templates, BIM model template projects, checklists and checking reports, BIM Standards, BIM Manuals and Handbooks;
    • Assure that the templates are always up to date/ update at least once per month and inform all team leaders in writing about the update as well as assure that all BIM teams are using the latest BIM standards;
    • Develop and improve BIM design process including but not limited to copy of building areas and rebars;
    • Coordinate project workflows and standards between BIM teams;
    • Assist teams in clash detection + reporting and coordination documentation if needed in projects;
    • Ensure the BIM Model Communication and Workflow with Architects and Structural Engineers within the Company and across different software solutions;
    • Perform and attend regular team leader meetings, at least monthly; monitor and discuss issues within BIM teams regarding BIM standards and improvements and report to directors; advice and propose adequate measures to improve on procedures and solve issues
    • Provide regular, at least monthly, software trainings to employees and prepare respective video tutorials
    • Attend regular trainings in BIM coordination and BIM management
    • Support BoD in decision making process
    • Present and report to BoD in regular coordination meetings

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • experience as draftsmen/ BIM Engineer at least 2 Years
    • Experience as team leader/ BIM Engineering at least 1 year
    • Intermediate leadership, time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage the time of others and to ensure efficiency of organizational processes
    • Intermediate written and spoken English communication skills.
    • Advanced ALLPLAN or REVIT Skills
    • Advanced knowledge of detailed design for reinforced concrete structures
    • Structural engineering knowledge and understanding of structural engineering design tasks
