đź’Ľ Position: Senior Structural Engineer (Vietnam Office)

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Structural Design & Analysis

  • Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure in accordance with international standards (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, TCVN).

  • Prepare finite element models (FEM) and detailed structural calculations using professional software and analytical methods.

  • Produce design documentation, structural drawings, and professional reports in English and Vietnamese.

  • Ensure all designs are accurate, consistent with architectural drawings, and compliant with codes and project requirements.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Work across multiple project stages, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction support.

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and BIM teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

  • Support BIM engineers by reviewing analysis reports and preparing rebar sketches and technical inputs.

  • Provide technical support during site inspections, surveys, and building assessments.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Guide and train junior engineers, CAD drafters, and BIM staff, helping them develop their technical expertise.

  • Prepare and deliver training materials on engineering concepts, tools, and best practices.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture built on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Technical Excellence & Innovation

  • Stay current with industry trends, digital tools, and design innovations in structural engineering.

  • Assist in preparing project proposals, reports, and presentations to support business development.

  • Ensure high-quality standards and compliance with GBC Engineers’ technical and design procedures.

🔹 Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural or Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in structural design, ideally with international project exposure.

  • Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, Robot) and AutoCAD / Revit.

  • Solid understanding of finite element modeling and structural principles.

Core Skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage).

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Effective teamwork and coordination abilities in a multidisciplinary environment.

  Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Prepare structural calculations, analysis reports and correspondence in English and Vietnamese language to international standard e.g. Eurocode, ACI, TCVN, etc.
  • Analyse building structures to international codes and standards using structural design software
  • Work on several project stages from feasibility studies through concept, schematic and detailed design stage
  • Prepare Finite Element Models and other structural models for structures
  • Work with and support structural CAD engineers in preparation of design drawings
  • Working alongside project managers to support day to day running of projects
  • Carry out structural surveys, site inspections and building investigations
  • Producing structural reports and correspondence
  • Prepare and Create structural drawings
  • Ensure designs and drawings are accurate, tie in with architectural drawings, and adhere to Design code used Standards.
  • Maintain a high level of communication and team-work with Structural Drafters.
  • Keep fellow team members and the branch manager informed of work-load and deadlines, to help with the delegation of work.
  • Assist in preparation of free proposals
  • Produce project reports when relevant, written to a professional standard.
  • Support BIM Engineering teams in reviewing Analysis reports
  • Prepare rebar sketches and information for BIM teams
  • Work closely with Team leader or Project manager
  • Attend regular trainings
  • Prepare structural Drawings
  • Undertake trainings for junior engineers or draft men (CAD Engineers)
  • Prepare training material for trainings in engineering subjects
  • Others tasks assigned by Managers.

Ihr Profil:

  • Bachelor-degree or higher, qualified in a relevant subject
  • At least 2 years of experience in structural design works
  • Fluent in standard structural design calculations and statics
  • Able communicate, to read and understand technical document and drawing in English
  • Being able to respect tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to change
  • Skill request: AutoCAD 3D, Structural / Civil, Etabs
  • Key skills for structural engineers: Creativity; Commercial awareness; Teamworking and communication skills; Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; Good attention to detail; Project and budget management skills.
